KTM X-Bow GT4 at the track

The final race weekend of the 102Competition European GT4 Series in Misano was kind of “heavy” for Peter Ebner and Sascha Halek. The Team ZaWotec KTM X-Bow GT4 again got some extra weight due to the Balance of Performance system. Despite this Handicap, Ebner / Halek could catch a reasonable result with 5th position in race 1 of the weekend. But they hoped for more, because they still were fighting for good season positions in team and driver standings.
Race 2 on Sunday took place in poor conditions, heavy rain all the time. No problem for Peter Ebner and Sascha Halek. They kept the #15 KTM X-Bow GT4 safe on the wet track and fought hard for positions. Halek caught the PRO division leading car in the very last lap and took the third win of the 2015 season for the duo. For the Austrian based team this meant the vice championship in the team standings, Ebner / Halek were third in the drivers championship.
In AM class for gentlemen drivers, Heinz Halek had his debut in the #16 KTM X-Bow. The Austrian finished both 102Competition GT4 European Series races with 3rd position on the podium.

Daniel Uckermann at the Podium

Daniel Uckermann from team ZaWotec wins AM classification title early in Competition 102 GT4 European Series.
What began almost a year to the day last summer as customer racing project in cooperation between Reiter Engineering and KTM, was crowned last weekend with its first championship title. Daniel Uckermann celebrated winning the AM class drivers’ title in the Competition 102 GT4 European Series at the penultimate event of the season last weekend. Uckermann drives an X Bow GT4 fielded by customer team ZaWotec Sport in the championship held exclusively for GT4 cars.
Daniel Uckermann and ZaWotec were successful from the off. The 32-year old German, who only started racing in 2013, took pole position in five of eight qualifying sessions at the wheel of the Reiter Engineering developed KTM X-Bow GT4. Uckermann won both sprint races when the combination made its debut at Zandvoort, Holland over the Whitsun weekend. Victories 3 and 4 followed at the KTM X-Bow’s home race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
